Dr.
Donner was a co-founder of RMA Ortho in 1991. He is
an orthopedic surgeon, fellowship-trained in the management
of spinal disorders. His specialties include spine
surgery and general orthopedics. He is board certified,
a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons,
the Spine Arthroplasty Association, and the North
American Spine Society. He has published articles
in several scientific journals, and is the past President
of the Larimer County Medical Association.
Dr.
Donner's fellowship in spine surgery was completed
at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania
and Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
His orthopedic residency included rotations through
Shriner's Hospital for Crippled Children and St. Christopher's
Hospital for Children. After completing his surgical
internship, he served as a critical care physician
in the Philadelphia area. Dr. Donner is recognized
internationally as an expert in the diagnosis and
surgical treatment of chronic cervical whiplash disc
injuries and recently was invited to present a scientific
paper at an international symposium in Belgium to
discuss his treatment methods. He has published articles
in several scientific journals, and has presented
numerous papers at national and international meetings
on the diagnosis and treatment of chronic cervicogenic
headaches, sacroiliac joint and low back pain.
Dr.
Donner is currently involved in a clinical trial focusing
on the
Maverick™ Artificial Disc. Dr. Donner is
one of only 30 surgeons nationwide who is allowed
to perform the operation as part of the FDA-sanctioned
clinical
trial.
